Sometimes, the content of the fabric is unknown and I make an educated guess. The vintage, fabrics and feed sacks come from estate auctions and I can’t guarantee that they all come from a smoke free environment. There might be other smells, also, such as storage etc. I don’t wash the fabric – I leave that to the buyer. They are in excellent condition; any flaws will be listed in the description.
