Arctic Fleece

Arctic fleece is a knit fabric that stretches on the crossgrain.  It sheds water, holds body heat, but allows for perspiration to escape.  Fleece is comfortable and warm and survives years of abuse.  It is suitable for sweatshirts, pull-on pants, short cropped jackets, and vests.

Fabric Tip:  On high-loft (General term for a fiber structure containing more air than fiber. In general, higher loft retains more warmth)  fabrics such as polyfleece, fake fur, and mohair, pattern weights are far more effective than pins in securing the pattern to the fabric.

The first is cotton.  Also referred to as “The Fabric of Our Lives” which is very true.  Cotton is ubiquitous – it’s everywhere and used for everything.  Get a Story of Cotton and find out everything you ever wanted to know about cotton. There are a lot of beautiful and hard to find out of print cotton fabrics on here on Bird City Fabrics.  Most of it can be used for quilting and creating great fashion and accessories.  It can also be used for decorating like pillows, curtains, kitchen accents and more.

I am now making real progress. I am learning my way around wordpress and have gotten the answers from the guys at F5 Themes. They have given really great service. I am done installing and now am just tweaking things. Now that I am cooking along, I think I will change the focus of the blog to more things fabric related.
